It was so nice spend there a week.
Friendly and european-style hotel with excellent service.During my planning visit to NYC I will stay only at Library Hotel !

Many thanks to Igor and the rest of The Library staff for a fabulous weekend stay. Everyone was friendly and helpful - Igor even ordered us delivery late Saturday night. We will certainly return to this lovely hotel and recommend it to our friends.

After a NIGHTMARE experience at a 'large 4-star' hotel very nearby, I checked in on April 18 and cried when I had to leave 4 days later. I LOVE YOUR HOTEL -- from the greeting at the front desk thru the doorman who helped with my luggage when I left -- perfection!! Thanks for introducing me to my new home away from home.

A great place!! My sister had her wedding there.I thought it was totally wonderful>Wish to have mine there when I get married!!!!1 Love the hotel and I miss it!!! We visited New York for the first time last week for my 40th Birthday and wanted to stay somewhere a little bit different. After reading a number of good reviews we decided to book the Library Hotel and we were not disappointed.
The hotel facilities are excellent (browsing one of the hotel's many books whilst indulging in the afternoon complimentary wine and cheese was especially nice after the obligatory daily exercising of the credit card!) and the service could not have been better - the front desk were always willing to help with our last minute need for restuarant recommendations and reservations. This is great hotel in a central location, close to all the major attractions in the city and well worth a stay.
Many thanks to all the hotel staff who made our stay so enjoyable!

we found your hotel to be fascinating as we are avid series of unfortunate events fans and the twelth book takes place at the hotel denoument which also uses the dewey decimal system...we hope to plan our honeymoon at the library hotel...we love cookies and lemonade!

I just returned from a perfect weekend at the Library Hotel. My boyfriend and I are from Puerto Rico and I surprised him with a stay in the hotel. Everything was amazing, I got the erotica package and everything was very romantic. I highly recommend this hotel for a honeymoon. Thank you

what a fantastic place to stay in the middle of manhattan. we were guests of a beautiful wedding party from marisa and matthias and it was more than a great idea to choose the library hotel!! the friendly staff gave us a warm feeling of being at home
during our stay.

Having just booked another september visit to NYC and the fantastic library, we find it almost impossible to wait for september to come! I dont know what i am looking forward to most... NYC or the Library Hotel! Every visit is just amazing and i doubt our visits to NYC would be as memorable as they have been if we had have stayed anywhere else. Being from Northern Ireland i was concerned we might be overwhelmed by the New York City hustle and bustle, which is of course makes it what it is!, however my fears were put to rest as soon as we walked through the door. Luxurious cozy rooms and coffee, wine and cheese complimentary throughout your stay are unique and very welcome. The warm, homely atmosphere and the relentless effort of the wonderful staff make it a haven you will long to return to after a long day on the hectic NYC sidewalks.

My wife and I stayed at the Library Hotel for our 25th anniversary in February, and we will not be waiting another 25 years before we go back. This hotel is the best hotel that we have ever stayed in. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable rooms. Free coffee, cakes, wine and cheese,books to read and chocolates left on the bed, made our stay there very happy and memorable. In fact we had to force ourselves to go out. Thank you for an excellent stay and making our visit to New York (despite the freezing weather) the best trip ever.

Decadence alone could make this diamond stand out in a city of stones. But coupled with the infinite kindnes and competence of their staff and the wisked-away atmosphere that they provide, the Library Hotel is truly the evolution of the hotel experience.
In short, the first rate attention that you receive right from check-in up until you check-out sets them aside from the cookie-cutter hotels such as the W's, the Hiltons, and the Marriot's. Then, factor in that every room is individually populated with books that match the literary theme of the room and polish everything off to a very clean and comfortable living situation and you never ever want to leave.
But great reason's to leave would be the spectacular roof top terrace bar and the 2nd floor Reading Room which has complimentary wine, cheese, coffee and cappucino's through-out the day.
The only question that I am left with, is how soon will I be re-visting this oasis of comfort and relaxation.
Thank you, Library Hotel, for making my weekend one of a kind.

I can't say enough great things about our recent stay at the Library Hotel. After arriving half dead off of an overnight flight, all of the staff were extra acommodating, THANKS!. They stored our luggage until check in time and told us we were welcome to the breakfast offerings upstairs. We loved the location, our room was cozy and clean, and the breakfast(yummy!) Unfortunately we hit the first two days in NYC during the downpour, and were always offered the use of the hotel umbrellas, how nice! I am looking forward to another trip in a couple of weeks, and to telling all I know about this great spot. (or should I?, if too many people know how great is is,I won't be able to get a reservation!) Thanks!!

Our warmest thanks to the staff of the Library Hotel, and particularly Alvin Harrison, for making our engagement weekend so special! I've been wanting to go to the Library Hotel ever since I heard about it (I'm a bona fide bibliophile). Alvin worked with Dave to make sure the big event remained a surprise, and we are so grateful to him for his hard work and kindness. Highly recommended. About a year ago I heard about the library hotel. I thought it sounded awesome. I heard of it from the travel channel. I hope to one day to have stayed in all the rooms and to have read all the books. I am currently bugging my family into making them want to have our yearly family vaction there since I am only 14.

My husband and I were fortunate to stay at the Library Hotel in late April. We loved the hotel, we stayed in 500.005, the Dinosaur room. The bathroom is huge, and the room was a generous size for NYC. My husband (a smoker) appreciated the balcony. Breakfast was yummy. The staff was so nice. The restaurant downstairs is fantastic (we ate there twice). The neighborhood is pretty quiet for NYC. I can't recommend it highly enough!

I have just heard about the library hotel and I think it sounds awesome. I found out about it reading the nancy drew books that you guys sponsor. I'm 14 and a huge nancy drew fan, i love reading and my friends and family always tease me about my love of books. I think it woul be so awesome to come and stay there!

In celebration of my retirement, my wife, daughter and I spent three days over Christmas '04 at the Library. It was a magnificent stay. We were very comfortable in the Jr Suite and spent a lot of time in the wonderful rooftop garden rooms and the 2nd floor cafe. We found everything to be top notch and most accommodating. The staff on duty over Xmas was very helpful and gracious, from helping us with theater tickets to bringing extra blankets (before we discover the ones in a chest in the room). Special thanks to Craig for finding us a wonderful resturant for Xmas dinner on very short notice. To paraphrase the Gov of Cal:

We were in New York for the ING NYC Marathon and were very pleasantly surprised at our experience at The Library Hotel. The accommodations were more than we anticipated. We especially enjoyed the common areas. It was wonderful that you have so many nice amenities such as breakfast, cookies and lemonade, and the wine and cheese. Friends of ours that visited us in the hotel were very impressed. The service was excellent. Jeremy, the night door man, was very kind and helpful- going out of his way to make sure we had everything we wanted/needed. It is unusual to find a hotel with such personable staff, wonderful accommodations, and lots of added benefits.
